Bollywood Awards 2016 in Madrid

Throughout its wonderful 17 years, IIFA awards hosted dazzling performances by big superstars of Indian cinema such as:

From 6 pm the parade of celebrities on the green carpet begins, until 9 pm, when the awards ceremony will start, which also will be led by two great actors Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor. This event will take place about 150 celebrities belonging to Indian cinema, among which are:

As André Timmins, director of IIFA , explains, whenever they celebrate these awards, the present previews of movies and some live music shows, because idea is to bring the local population closer to Indian cinema.

For this event they will offer three days of celebration from Thursday June 23 to Sunday June 26, 2016, so the IIFA-Madrid 2016 will be composed of three ceremonies; IIFA Green Carpet and Awards is the ceremony of the awards, the second is the IIFA Rocks, a musical gala, where you can watch the best artists in the industry of Indian music such as the director, singer and composer Pritam, who will share the stage with Spanish artists; and a third gala exhibiting urban trend (fashion, electronic music, etc.) which is the IIFA Stomp & Rang Jam.

IIFA is not only related to the awards, they promote a huge amount of business activities that benefit both countries, because due to this year 2016 marks six decades of diplomatic relations between Spain and India. They have planned a lot parallel activities in which a renowned actress who will host a festival of yoga in the streets, will also feature a celebration of Holi, with henna artists, Indian dances and an Indian street food featuring with stands with special offers. This year IIFA also participates in the Mulafest 2016 festival, also held in IFEMA from June 24th to 26th.

Timmins, head of the event, informed that the choice of Madrid is due to, among other factors, the opportunity to come closer to Spanish speaking audiences, one of the biggest on the planet. He also ensures that the’ll also carry the show to South America, and that two years ago they had negotiated with Peru, but the country did not have an appropriate audience.

The price of tickets for this great event ranges from € 50.00 the cheapest to the most expensive € 225. However, it seems that the tickets were sold only three weeks of the mega event. However, fans are still time to buy their seats to enjoy the musical show IIFA Rocks.

The restrictions to be taken into account for the event is that admission for children under 5 and over 5 years to attend must validate your entry will not be permitted.
