SUMMARY:RCSMM Big Band: from Jazz to Salsa
DESCRIPTION:The Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid (RCSMM)\, founded in 1830\, is dedicated to the training of high-level professional musicians – interpreters\, directors\, composers\, musicologists and pedagogues – and the promotion of cultural activities related to music. \nThe students’ concerts\, which offer them the opportunity to present their work on stage\, form an essential part of the activity of the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid. The concerts of students outside the Conservatory are organized in collaboration with prestigious institutions\, such as the National Auditorium\, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando\, the Residencia de Estudiantes and\, since 2015\, the Reina Sofía Museum. The 2017 cycle includes concerts ranging from classic jazz sounds and Big Band swing to more contemporary compositions.
