La Plaza en Verano 2017

In summer, the Matadero Madrid organizes a new edition of the Plaza in Summer, between July 28 and August 26, with a varied content of music and art exhibitions. They have created different proposals that try to bring together the power of music and art.

Also, there are new talents from different parts of the country participating in the event.

This year, Matadero Madrid offers a contest based on two groups: on the one hand PLAYdramaturgy and Elgatoconmoscas, which propose new interpretations (August 4, 11 and 18, 2017), and on the other the Group Collective Crew, which will dedicate the start and Closing to make a special edition celebrating the ten years of Matadero Madrid.

All these activities can be enjoyed for free. The shows will be held from 20h to 23h.

To get to Matadero Madrid:

You can access the campus via public transport, either by metro or bus EMT, which has several lines stop within about a hundred meters from the Paseo de la Chopera, 14.

Metro: Legazpi (take lines 3 and 6)
EMT buses: Lines 6, 8, 18, 19, 45, 78 and 148
Suburban train stations: Embajadores (1.3 kilometers) and Pirámides.
Taxi rank: Plaza de Legazpi.
