The Prado Museum (Museo del Prado) is probably the most important Spanish national art museum, located in Madrid. It features one of the world’s finest collections of European art, dating from the 12th century to the early 19th century, based on the former Spanish Royal Collection, and unquestionably the best single collection of Spanish art.

The Prado features collections of great Spanish artists such as Velazquez, Goya, El Greco, European artists such as Titian, Rubens and Van Dyck, with permanent and temporary exhibitions from important artists of other museums worldwide.
