Merche (Carmen Maura) receives the bad news that she has little time left to live. She decides to fulfill the impossible dreams of her three best friends (Marisol Ayuso, María José Alfonso and María Luisa Merlo). Finally, she also wants to fulfill hers: to see the sea for the last time by visiting the island of La Palma. His delicate health situation prevents him from traveling, but a brilliant scientist (Aitana Sánchez-Gijón) offers him a solution. She will introduce Merche’s soul into the body of a recently deceased person for three days, so that she can fulfill her dream. That body is that of Jon (Fernando Albizu), a big Basque truck driver. So Merche will “enjoy” her last days with her daughter (Olivia Molina) on the Canary Island.
