TANDEM Cultural Program: It’s carnival! The “Burial of the Sardine” and Casa de Campo

The traditional “Burial of the Sardine” marks the end of the Carnival festivities. It will take place on Wednesday 6th at the Fuente de los Pajaritos, in the Casa de Campo. This celebration consists of a fun funeral parade with “Gigantes y Cabezudos” next to the banks of Manzanares to bury the unfortunate fish.

We will take a walk by the lake of the Casa de Campo until arriving at ermita de San Antonio de la Florida, where you will be able to begin to see the parade.
