TANDEM Cultural Program: Dicovering the Botanical Garden

The Real Jardín Botánico (Royal Botanical Garden) is an oasis at the very heart of Madrid, located in front of the Museo del Prado. With 9 hectares, the Botanical Garden is a fresh and green peaceful universe, perfect for nature lovers. Its origin traces back more than two centuries and has a unique collection of bonsais and different species, which makes visiting this place a pleasure for all the senses, especially for the sight and smell.

It is a research center that was founded on October 17, 1755, by King Ferdinand VI. It was originally located in the Soto de Migas but was moved to Paseo del Prado in 1781. In addition, you can see all kinds of plants as this garden has plants from American and Pacific countries as well as any area of Europe in its three terraces staggered.
