“Lugares de inspiración. Art of the 20th century in Spanish”

Don Quixote and Sancho Panza

The exhibition “Lugares de inspiración. Art of the 20th Century in Spanish” is a collection of 74 engravings belonging to the Instituto Cervantes collection and made by some of the most outstanding Spanish and Latin American artists of the second half of the 20th century. The artists are Andreu Alfaro, Eduardo Chillida, Ramón Gaya, Albert Ráfols-Casamada, Gerardo Rueda, Antonio Saura, Eduardo Arroyo, Miquel Barceló, Luis Gordillo, Guillermo Pérez Villalta, Manuel Rivera and Gustavo Torner. The engravings are inspired by the Spanish pictorial and literary traditions, and by works such as those by Lorca, Goya, Velázquez, el Greco, Rubens, and the masterpiece of Miguel de Cervantes, among others.

Open to the public until 30/06/2020, the collection is available from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6.30 pm.
